SOUTHERN ROVER OWNERS’
CLUB LTD.
About the club
The Club is exclusively for
enthusiasts of Rover cars and the Land Rover range of vehicles (Series I, II,
III, 101, Defender, Range Rover, Discovery and Freelander). Membership is not
restricted to any specific area but the majority of members live in the
Southern Home Counties.
The SROC is a member of the
Association of Land Rover Clubs Ltd. and is registered with the Royal
Automobile Club Motor Sports Association Ltd. It was previously known as the Southern
Land Rover Club and hence the club has a strong bias towards the products of
Land Rover Ltd.
The objectives of the club
are:
· To further interest in
motoring, motor sport and caravanning.
· To provide Members with
information, advice and assistance on matters connected with motoring and
caravanning.
· To promote competitions for
Land Rover vehicles in accordance with the requirements of the MSA.
· To promote events with
other motoring clubs and invite other clubs to participate at selected events during
the year.
· To arrange rallies, tours,
lectures, discussions, social and other meetings.
· To afford Members such
benefits and privileges as it may be possible to arrange.
A variety of events are
regularly run throughout the year at a number of different sites. Details can
be found on the Competitions page.
A number of these
events have camping and caravanning weekends associated with them.
The Club publishes a
monthly newsletter and a quarterly magazine.
